Organic Bajra flour is obtained from Bajra (Pearl Millet), which is one of the most widely accessible millets. When the bajra is mature and ready for harvesting, the plants are chopped and wrapped in bundles before drying. The bundles are threshed to sort the grains. The grains are dried before being ground into flour. When ground, the flour seems to have a light brown or greyish colour and a somewhat nutty flavour. It is widely used in the winter since it produces heat.
